Hełm Adrian Mle.15 został opracowany w 1915 roku przez pułkownika Louisa Adriana, który był naczelnym intendentem armii francuskiej. Produkowany z blachy stalowej, składa się z czerepu, wykonanego metodą tłoczenia, daszka przedniego oraz daszka tylnego. Daszki łączone ze sobą za pomocą nitów,mocowane do czerepu poprzez walcowanie. Przez co w miejscu spojenia powstawało charakterystyczne zgrubienie.
Hełmy Adrian Mle.15 były używane przez wiele armii na świecie, w Polsce był to podstawowy wzór hełmu do czasu wprowadzenia hełmu polskiej produkcji wz.31
