• Wykonana w całości z grubej licowej skóry, formowanej na ciepło, dzięki czemu zachowuje nadany jej kształt

Właśnie dzięki temu prostemu zamknięciu stała się w czasie II wojny światowej najbardziej popularną kaburą wśród oficerów i żołnierzy frontowych. Sztywna klapa kabury chroniła broń przed wypadnięciem w czasie walki, natomiast szybkie dobycie broni dzięki odciągnięciu jednego paska często mogło stanowić o przeżyciu żołnierza. Kabura posiadała jeszcze tą ciekawą cechę, że doskonale pasowała zarówno do Walthera P38 jak i do Lugera P08.

Walther P38 Pistol Holster

• Made entirely of formed thick leather, molded when heated which allows the holster to retain its form over time
• Dyed black
• Sewn with white cord
• Stamped “P38” as well as “dVr 42, WaA170”.
• Holster cover is closed and secured with a stiff leather strap attached to the cover and passed through an open buckle on the side of the holster.

Thanks to the simple cover closure, this holster became the most popular holster among combat officers and soldiers during the Second World War.  The stiff holster cover kept the pistol from falling out during active combat operations, but allowed, when necessary, the quick drawing of the weapon thanks to the single leather strap closure. This often saved the soldier’s life. The holster had one other interesting characteristic; it also fit the other principal German Army sidearm, the Luger P08.
