Officer’s Cap - Coastal Gendarmerie (Defense) Division
Rank: Second Lieutenant
- Cap made of wool uniform cloth in Polish khaki color.
- Cap band in red velvet sewn into gores and sweatband
- Visor is long and metal edged, the so-called “duckbill” visor
- Wz.19 eagle mounted on “mustache” rocker
- Sweatband and cap lining made of leather
- Silver metallic braid on edge of red headband
- Yellow cloth piping around top of cap
- Satin lining
Caps were introduced in 1932. Dz. Distributions. MSWojsk. No. 18/1932, item. 228.
Coastal Defense Division was an Army unit, but was kept on the budget of the Navy.
It was stationed in the Coastal Sector (Gdynia, Hell, Puck and Wejherowo).
The unit did not have a banner and commemorative badges.
Officers and non-commissioned officers, could receive a commemorative gendarmerie badge after 2 years of impeccable service; non-commissioned, bronze, and silver for officers.
Hats are made in sizes 55-60 cm head circumference.
