Helferin – Kobiece Służby Pomocnicze WH. Kobiety nigdy nie służyły w Wehrmachcie, służby pomocnicze były traktowane jako personel tymczasowy.

W skład Helferin des Heeress wchodziło ponad 500 tys. kobiet. Część zgłosiła się na ochotnika, pozostałe zaś były zobowiązane do odbycia służby pomocniczej. Służbę te pełniły jako: operatorki, teleprinterki, operatorki radiowe, maszynistki, asystentki biurowe, posłanki. W służbie kontroli ruchu lotniczego, rejestracji lotów, w służbie nasłuchowej wywiadu. Helferinen nie brały udziału w walkach, najbliżej linii frontu mogły się znajdować w obrębie sztabu generalnego.

Służby Pomocnicze nigdy nie otrzymały formalnego pozwolenia na noszenie broni.

Fabric: uniform wool in field gray (this fabric is produced for us from the Bavarian Factory which had manufactured the same uniform wool during WW II)

The thread we used to sew this uniform was produced at our request by the same factory which made this thread for WW II uniform manufacturing needs.

Helferin were Wehrmacht Female Auxiliary Service personnel. Women never served in the Wehrmacht. Auxiliary Service personnel were handled as “temporary” personnel.

More 500,000 women joined the Wehrmacht Female Auxiliary Service. A portion volunteered, while the remaining number were obligated to serve in the Auxiliary Service. They performed functions such as: telephone, teletype, and radio operators; typists, office staff, and couriers; and as air traffic controllers, flight historians, and as operators in the radio intercept service. Wehrmacht Helpers did not participate in combat. The closest they came to the front lines was their assignment to combat unit Hqs’ general staffs in the rear.

The Auxiliary Services never received formal authorization to bear arms.
