Sicherheitsdienst des Reichsfuhrers SS

SD - Służba Bezpieczeństwa Reichsfuhrera SS był to organ wywiadu i kontrwywiadu oraz służby bezpieczeństwa SS działający w latach 1931-1945.

Organizatorem i od 1932 roku szefem SD był Reinhard Heydrich. Pod jego dowództwem znalazła się również Kripo - Policja Kryminalna, Sipo - Policja Bezpieczeństwa oraz Gestapo. W 1939 roku SD włączono do RSHA – Reichssicherheisthauptamt – Główny Urząd Bezpieczeństwa Rzeszy.

Po udanym zamachu na Heydricha, dowództwo nad SD przejął Ernst Kaltenbruner i sprawował je do końca wojny.

Security Service of the Reichsfuehrer SS

SD - the Security Service of the Reichsfuehrer SS was an Intelligence, Counterintelligence, and Internal Security Service of the SS.  It was active operationally from 1931 until 1945. 

Reinhard Heydrich was the founder and, from 1932, Chief of the SD. Under his command were also the Criminal Police, the Kripo; the Security Police, Sipo, as well as the Gestapo, the Secret State Police. In 1939, the SD was subordinated to the RSHA, the Reich Security Main Office (Reichssicherheisthauptamt).

After the successful assassination of Heydrich, command of the SD passed to Ernst Kaltenbruner who led it until the end of the war.
