Popularnie nazywany Schmeisserem, choć w istocie niemiecki konstruktor Hugo Schmeisser nie miał nic wspólnego z MP40.

This is an inert replica weapon. The magazine can be removed and reinserted. This replica can be cocked and the trigger pulled to simulate a shot.

Metal stock with folding frame can be unfolded for firing from the shoulder or folded up under the weapon. It can be locked in either position by unfolding and snapping the stock in place and then folded up under the weapon by releasing the stock when the lock release button is pressed. It then locks in the folded up position. 

The leather sling is light brown and can be adjusted for length 

The MP40 evolved from the MP38 and was developed in 1938 by the German engineer Heinrich Vollmer. It was manufactured in the Erfurt Machine Works of B. Geisel GmbH and the Arms and Bicycle Factory C.G. Haenel. Production of the MP40 was expanded to the Steyr factories in Austria which finally ended production in October 1944.

The MP40 was popularly known as the Schmeisser, although the German engineer Hugo Schmeisser had nothing to do with the MP40 weapon project.
